Global Study Pass was a start-up that delivered international learning experiences. We were founded by GEMS Education Group and the Varkey Foundation, but due to changes in investments strategy, GEMS decided to stop founding all its start-ups in the UK during Q1 & Q2 2015.

Global Study Pass was chaired by Jeffrey Beard, ex Director General of the International Baccalaureate (IB).

My major missions:

• to grow the Global Network of member schools: from the strategic plan to the operational execution. I have recruited and lead a team of Senior Educationists in the USA, Canada, South Africa, China and the Philippines. After 6 months, we have already signed 50 schools as members and have more than 100 schools in the pipeline
• to work with and support our Sales & Marketing Director in the recruitment of students (admissions). I have been recruiting in several specialised fairs and created recruitment partnerships with high schools in the USA/Canada/Europe/SE Asia. The strategy was to build an agents’ network

• Fully responsible for the EMEA Region, from the definition of strategic plans to the execution of those plans
o Member of ETS Global BV Board of Directors, supervise Global businesses (EMEA & APAC) and implement robust governance model
o Operate across a complex international multiple stakeholder environment
o Lead 500 employees, 1000+ test administrators, 15000+ teachers’ network in the UK

• Transform underperforming international business driving revenues in the EMEA region from $2,5 mio in 2004 to $80 mio in 2008 and loss of $2 mio to profits
o Set up and lead a three years strategy combining ETS traditional testing products (B to B, sales, marketing, distribution) and tailored made solutions for governmental contracts (expertise, consulting, tenders, lobbying, PR), resulting in sales growing by 32 and a return to profitability
o Work closely with governments, International agencies, high/board level business leaders, accreditation/awarding bodies, unions, associations
o Win different multi-million contracts in the UK (£156mio), Qatar ($50mio), Jordan, …
o Redesign and implement multi-channel business model combining local offices and representatives, e-business solutions and strategic partnerships (Casio, Nintendo, …)
• Manage/open the business and operations of the 7 subsidiary offices in France, Jordan, Germany, The Netherlands, Poland, Spain and United Kingdom
• Manage and expand the network of Partners, Representatives (1800 new distributors), Advisers (Fulbright, Amideast, IIE, …) & Test Centers (250), providing additional test revenues of $46 mio
